“Gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains” is the nickname given to this unique resort town tucked away at the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It is surrounded on all sides by high ridges, with Mount LeConte to the south, Cove Mountain to the west, Big Ridge to the southeast and Grapeyard Ridge on its east. This magnificent natural beauty makes Gatlinburg a wonderful Feast site for God’s people to truly enjoy this “holy convocation.” It is a fantastic opportunity to witness and focus on the knowledge of the Glory of the LORD, deep within the awesome beauty of His creation, with beautiful scenery for every season, but especially in the autumn.
With the average high temperature at Feast-time of 70 degrees during the day (and average lows in the 50’s at night) you can take in and enjoy the fresh mountain breeze that whistles through the Smokies. Along with the numerous hiking trails and outdoor activities in this national park area, there are plenty of indoor options you can choose to see and do. This list would include a world-class saltwater aquarium, a five-mile round trip tram ride, theatres, museums, and arts and crafts in over 100 galleries and shops. The mountain-top Ober Gatlinburg has ice skating, alpine sledding, animal habitat and too many other activities to list (and will likely be a location considered for activities). An exceptional variety of unique local restaurants and cafés can be found throughout the small downtown area, within easy walking distance of the River Terrace, our meeting place for daily services. Gatlinburg offers 12,000 sleeping rooms in its local hotels, condominiums, chalets and cabins. Campgrounds are plentiful as well and very suitable for this area during Feast time.
The nearby mountain resort city of Pigeon Forge, TN (home of Dollywood and many other attractions) is just an 8-mile or 15-minute drive from Gatlinburg.
Make plans to join us for the third consecutive year for God’s Feast in this exciting Gatlinburg resort area. It provides a great location for daily services and many options for organized Feast activities for all ages. It is also well suited for personal and family outings during this very special Feast of Tabernacles and Last Great Day, from Sunday evening, October 16th through Monday, October 24th.
Daily Services and many of the activities will be held at:
River Terrace Resort and Convention Center
