Penticton is located in the south central region of British Columbia, in an area known collectively as the Okanagan Valley. With over 2100 hours of sunshine, and only 15 inches of rain annually, the area has a comfortable climate year round. It is one of the most desirable vacation areas of Canada.
Penticton lies between two large and beautiful lakes, Skaha and Okanagan, in the Okanagan Valley. Located in southern British Columbia, the Okanagan Valley is one of the warmest regions in all of Canada. The valley is classified as semi-arid and is home to the only desert in Canada.
The rolling hills are covered with the golden hue of Sagebrush, Grasses, Orchards and Pine trees. And of course there is the beautiful greenery of the vineyards. The valley wine industry is world-renowned. There are currently 120 wineries in the valley to choose from. Some of the best white and red wines in the world are produced here.
The Penticton area definitely caters to all age groups with many things to do and to see. Singles, young people and seniors (young at heart) will find plenty to do and develop lasting memories.
Within ten minutes you may find yourself strolling casually along the five kilometers of lake beaches as you search the calm waters of Okanagan Lake for the mythical and legendary lake monster "Ogopogo." You can also hike in the surrounding rolling hills, visit one of the 44 vineyards and many orchards, or perhaps tee up on one of many beautiful golf courses.
And of course, this is the place to be for the spiritual rejuvenation of God's Feast of Tabernacles. There is a long and exciting history of the Feast in Penticton dating back to 1967.
If you are undecided about where you would like to observe God's Feast of Tabernacles in 2016 please do consider Penticton, British Columbia. You can be assured of good weather, great fellowship and fine food both physical and spiritual.
You may also want to consider coming to Penticton to "stretch your Second Tithe dollar" as the exchange rate is very favorable to the US dollar. Currently it is approximately 30%, in other words, $100 US converts to $130 Can.
The local brethren in the Okanagan Valley are looking forward to welcoming you to a most memorable Feast of Tabernacles 2016 in Penticton, BC.
